In 2005, the total bonded NdFeB magnet market volume was approximately 4000 tons which cover the following applications. - hard disk drive - optical disk drive motors - fax, copier and printer stepper motors - consumer electronics (personal video recorders & MP3 music players) - automotive & industrial applications (instrument panel motors and air bag sensors) Bonded neo has also been used in the applications that require higher performance, smaller size, greater efficiencies. and reduced costs than which was achieved with ferrite magnets.
